Sabbe saṃkhārā aniccā’ti yadā paññāya passati; atha nibbindatī dukkhe, esa maggo visuddhiyā.
English Translation
When one sees with wisdom that all conditioned things are impermanent, one grows weary of suffering — this is the path to purification.

Editorial Note
The first of three consecutive verses (277, 278, 279) stating the three marks of existence — impermanence, suffering, and non-self — in exactly parallel form. Verses 278 and 279 are added in Phase D3 alongside it.
